Update: How has Craig done... anyone know? One of Crewe's newest businesses is already in line for a top award. Crewe Fish Bar on Alton Street, run by Craig Buckley, celebrated its first birthday today, and Craig has made it to the last seven of the national Young Fish Frier 2010/11 competition. It's like the Oscars of the fish and chip world, and was won by Les's Fish Bar back in 2000. So fingers crossed for Craig. Until 8pm tonight he's offering some great deals on meals to celebrate the shop's birthday, giving free drinks to customers while they wait for their food and everyone served in the shop will get a raffle ticket that could win them £50 cash. I nipped in and grabbed some for the kids' tea and took the obligatory snap. The shop was packed but only one brave lady fancied getting on the picture to celebrate with a glass of bubbly. Good luck to Craig and his staff...
