When I was little, one of my most favorite animals at the zoo were flamingos. I used to watch them and try to copy the way they stand on one leg. And I used to wonder, "Are these really birds? They're not flying! And they're so big, they must not be birds!" but my mother would always reaffirm to me that they were indeed birds. I like the way their long necks curl, it makes them look kind of like some exstinct creature like dinosaurs.
