Just wanted to share our idea for the corsages that we made during my nikah...we decided to add a little sense of humor, since yg datang is mostly family and my friends...so it was a very relaxed function for my parents...

being in a large family alhamdulillah, many gets confused with who is who.. esp us sisters, because some say we all look similar..hehee..

2 of my sisters, created this 2 days before my wedding...hehehe..i was a little upset because it was done at the very last minute, but alhamdulllah my sisters, they never disappoint...

well as for my update with the reception next week..its has been quite crazy...we just found out yesterday the hall we are doing it in, us undergoing a major renovation at the entrance..urgh..sedih nya..and they never informed us...so now, the hall is going to have a very messy and ugly entrance...all the hall people can do is, on the wedding day, they will clear a path for the guests to masuk...how uncomfortable...

mum says, we must be positive...at every wedding of course things will go wrong..and what will change it is our attitude towards it....I'm just worried, if the guests can't find the way in..or if they feel very uncomfortable because of the construction around...

other than that, alhamdulillah everything is ok...at first i thought having a reception after 4 months is like whatever lah...i've already had my wedding......but just 10 days before, now i feel that my excitement is building..hehehe...mashaAllah...i'm so excited being a bride all ever again (to the same guy)..hehehe...oh I'm so excited....

just make doa all the 4 functions goes pleasantly...ameen ya Rabbal A'lameen...

I wanted to share, on what i've been up to lately...

we have 19 more days to the reception..meaning my sister has only 18 more days inshaAllah to her nikah..hehehe..

a lot of people asks on how i feel right now  excited tak?..i can say i'm A WHOLE load more relax now... compared when it was 19 days to my nikah(masa ni macam dah crazy)..hehhee....sebab our nikah pun dah lepas Alhamdulillah....

for my reception, i didn't want it to be like my nikah...i wanted it to be more meaning full than anything..so a lot of things this time,  I decided to do it myself...

my biggest project is...my wedding baju...remember this post

i gave a teaser on my outfits..but now my nikah baju dah jadi for my reception...(dah almost 4 bulan nikah, i feel like i'm a pengantin basi already) so my main intention is to give my sister full limelight..hehehe....

ok my baju lace putih tu, lace, came empty..sebab i wanted the designer to tambahkan the beads for me cantik2....but like i said, i wanted a more personal feel, so i decided to do it myself...

yup, myself, and yes FYI, i have No experience in beadings at all..memang tak pernah buat..

so far, its been 2 months dah sabby penat menjahit beads sini, menjahit beads sana..still tak habis2 lagi...everytime, buat, kalau salah i have to redo everything...

now its 90% siap, alhamdulllah...results...hmmm... well, all i can say is, its looks homemade...but the satisfaction i have, knowning that i did it myself, i think that is priceless..and now, this while lace baju has become my new favorite wedding attire......

Grooms ring

Hari tu i had an email asking about ring for guys.

We went surveying a few shops, at Habib Jewels they only had this material called suasa( thanks to nahwal). People say it still has gold in it, we all pun was was, so we figured might as well stay away....here are some hadith that haramkan the use of gold for men.

Islam has prohibited two kinds of adornment for men, while permitting them to women. These are, first, gold ornaments and, second, clothing made of pure silk. 'All reported that the Prophet (peace be on him) took some silk in his right hand and some gold in his left, declaring, "These two are haram for the males among my followers." (Reported by Ahmad, Abu Daoud, al-Nisai, Ibn Hayyan, and lbn Majah, who reports the additional phrase, "but halal for the females.") 'Umar reported that he heard the Prophet (peace be on him) say, 

The Prophet (peace be on him) once saw a gold ring on a man's hand. He immediately took it from him and threw it down saying, 'Does a person pick up a piece of burning coal and hold it in his hand?' After the Prophet (peace be on him) had left the place, someone asked the man, 'Why do you not pick it up and benefit from it?' He replied, 'No, by Allah! I shall not pick it up after the Messenger of Allah (peace be on him) has thrown it away.' (Reported by Muslim.)

The same prohibition which applies to the gold ring likewise applies to what we observe among conspicuous spenders, i.e., the gold pen, gold watch, gold cigarette case and lighter, gold teeth, etc.

The Prophet (peace be on him), however, permitted men to wear silver rings. On the authority of Ibn'Umar, al-Bukhari reported the former saying, "The Messenger of Allah (peace be on him) wore a silver ring. After him, Abu Bakr and then 'Umar and 'Uthman wore it, until it fell off his finger into the well of Arees." (Reported by al-Bukhari in the chapter on "Clothing" (Al-Libas).) As for other metals such as iron, there are no sound texts prohibiting them. On the contrary, in the Sahih of al-Bukhari we find that the Messenger of Allah (peace be on him) advised a man who wanted to marry a woman to,"Present her with a gift, even if it be ring made of iron." On the basis of this hadith al-Bukhari inferred the permissibility of iron rings.

alright to continue, If we wanted to buy platinum was a bit too expensive, so survery2, last last we found a ring, at Goldheart. The material is called Palladium. Palladium is family with platinum, rhodium, ruthenium, iridium and osmium. They are called the platinum group metals (PGMs).Palladium is heavy, so it feels solid to wear it. And of course the price, all depends on you hubby ring size, normal price is mmg less that RM1k, kalau saiz besar it can cecah above 1k. and masa we dekat goldheart pun there was byk other material for mens ring, yg mmg takda gold in it.They also have another interesting material called Platim (platinum +steerling), its worth to take a look as the price is between RM 3xx till RM 1xxx (information credits to TheBubblyMe)

Wedding shoes

Wedding shoes was one of my pening actualy...sadly, the designer yg buat my baju did not include the kasut as part of the package...and he asked me to top up more money if I wanted matching shoes. The thing about me is , I wanted shoes that I can wear again, and I wanted the same shoes to use for my nikah and reception..so even after mentioning i wanted pink shoes, but after counting the math,i don't need 3 pairs of wedding shoes...i just need 1 pair of a beautiful White shoes..

so off me and one of my bestie went to find shoes at pyramid..we went everywhere, my god i didn't know it was going to be that hard to find shoes, esp above 4 inch heels, yes the other thing that made me so angry is that, the designer made the baju so panjang, that it will only look nice if i wear 4 inch heels and above...after a few hours of searching, finally i found something in Aldo...tried it on...hmm ok lar i thought..i liked it but i didn't love it...It was not so comfy, and i knew i have to pakai the shoes, for hours, so i really was looking for a comfortable white 4 inch heels.. and because my kain chiffon, i must find shoes yg tiada anything on top, takut it will sangkut to my kain and rosak (one of the lessons we learnt from my sisters wedding)

finally we sat down, and discussed...ok which shop that i know has comfortable 4 inch heels...and both of us knew the answer VINCCI...so off we went to padini..dahlah vincci in pyramid is like hidden, we both sesat trying to find it...

and there it was..my dream shoes...i saw it, tried it on...ada of course..i tried on other shoes..but somehow, this pair, clicked with me instantly.hehhee...yes,  I'm serious..i actually felt a connection..plain at the top, but bling at the heels...just what  i was looking for...

and you know the best part is....on the wedding day, true enough,.it did not give me any problems...ohh what a great buy....mum always remind us, find the most value for money things...oh mashaAllah...i love this purchase the most...

and the best part, i can wear it again and again and again, after my july wedding of course.....

p/s: i did not bully my pengapit k, this was a posed picture, saja je, coz so far every wedding of only her close friends of course,  ada picture of my dear bestie doing this for the bride..hehehe..oh its so funny....

today is one of my happiest day....

i just picked up my baju from our designer, and mashaAllah...it is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo pretty...

the most beautiful baju i've ever worn and owned...--> in my eyes of course...

it is the sweetest..

so u guys out there, if you are looking for a designer, serious i recommend Rizman and Ruzaini 100%....

Kurung modern inspiration....

While hunting for a design for my baju of course, i saved up a few pictures of baju that caught my eye...and i noticed a pattern..most of the bajus that i saved are all nikah outfits..and they were all rather similar..

oh no don't get me wrong i don't hate kebaya at all..in fact i love them..but not on myself..the kebaya somehow does not flatter my height and my body shape, or maybe i should get a new tailor??hehehehe..



anyway just wanted to share with everyone some of the pics that i saved... fyi, because some of the pics I've saved more than a year ago...I've lost the source of the pic..so sorry..

I love so much the simplicity of the baju...this was taken from arma wedding couture...the kain part is my fav...

I love her outfit so much..but a simpler necklace would have done justice to her neckline..

can't deny that she had a pretty baju nikah..but i personally think she didn't need the huge tiara..

ohh..i actually really wanted one of my attire to be just like this, a simple top and an elaborate kain..but where on earth do we find a material like that???..tried searching for it everywhere..last2 i gave up...urgh sadly had to toss the idea away..ohh actually i love most of rizalman's design.....it is very simple and elegant

i know this is actually not a bridal dress, but i love the kain for this kurung, its one of rizmanruzainis fav style ..and the colour..i'm a sucker for earthy tones..

this one was because of again the colour..kudos to rizmanruzaini...

This is my ultimate dream dress...Rizalman, i absolutely love this..the simplicity..the colour..

wedding dress teaser..updated

Eid mubarrak everyone...alhamdulillah i just got back yesterday from both my kampungs and raya was great...pictures will be uploaded when i get a new memory card reader..



anyhow since raya pics still cant be uploaded so i shall upload teaser pictures of my wedding outfit...i only have my nikah and sanding baju...i forgot to take picture of my tandang baju (that one is in champagne)

This is my nikah lace...but of course it will be worn with white satin..not the black/white batik at the background....for my nikah attire, I'm actually partly using my sisters nikah outfit...since we are the same size and body shape...it saves a lot of money and I'm only wearing it for nikah session at the mosque....inshaAllah..My sanding material...when i choose it, alot of people was very worried because of how simple it is (design only at the border for the baju. the rest is plain chiffon)...but i loved it......when they opened the material i straight away fell in love with it...well it actually wouldn't be so much of a problem if i wanted to do a proper wedding dress...but i insisted on a kurung modern....I have always preferred myself in kurung than kebaya, so no matter what people say i do not want to wear a kebaya for my on my wedding day..my body shape does not suit a kebaya......

and to make matters worst..i do not want a train nor a long veil for any of my wedding baju..mum put her foot down and said no dragging anything, since there is a hadith sahih that supports that statement..so i reluctantly follow.....so pretty much it does sound more like a baju nikah then a sanding attire..



finally my designer drew a design that i really liked....he will play with beadings and layers of materials instead....1st fitting will be in 2 months inshaAllah...can't wait



p/s: secretly i do feel sometimes that my wedding dress is too simple..but when i see other brides wedding outfits...i always seem to love the nikah outfits more than reception...

Alhamdulillah met the designer......and he changed the design, according to how i imagined my attire would be...he said " u ni memang suka simple je, takpa i boleh buat"...i smiled and amat happy...Mr.R really has a good heart...i think its just me that overreact to the whole situation (malu i baca balik my last entry) betul cakap fizz design dia memang meletup......hehehe...

The sales girl from jakel was very pushy...habibs material, baju melayu masa dah nak potong she said don't worry dik satin je..i tanya harga dia cakap ala tak mahal...RM 200 p/meter je...crazy dahlah we are taking 10m! of course we settled with a cheaper material..but still looks and feels good...my advice make sure u know from where dia ambil the material...and make sure she is clear with your budget...

For my tandang outfit i will send to a designer that i have admired since 5 yrs ago.. i love his cutting and style..

alhamdulillah..now I'm happy...
