The best caterer....

It been more than 3 days now, since my cousins passing....We are no longer allowed to mourn...

Hadith - Bukhari 2:369, Narrated Muhammad bin Sirin 

One of the sons of Um 'Atiyya died, and when it was the third day she asked for a yellow perfume and put it over her body, and said, "We were forbidden to mourn for more than three days except for our husbands."

Hadith - Bukhari 7:254, Narrated Um 'Atiyya  

We were forbidden to mourn for more than three days for a dead person, except for a husband, for whom a wife should mourn for four months and ten days (while in the mourning period) ......

Let's talk about my caterer during my wedding day....We we first introduce to them during a wedding of a family friend...oh Subhanallah...the food was soo sedap...My parents came back to the wedding just so they can eat the food again...I stayed sampai habis, so that we can tapau food home...

This was about 3 years ago.....and i had told myself, ok this is the caterer i want for my wedding...Sajian D Hidang....

Alhamdulillah, i got them, food was sedap...they were clean..and everything was as they promised...they were so easy to work with mashaAllah...i fully recommended...

the blueberry cheese tart, was one of my fav..and I'm so glad, all the food we ordered habis...we only had to bring back home, ada sikit samosa and popiah...the rest alhamdulillah habis...

My Dream wedding setup

I heart this wedding setup, I love square tables instead of round and i love those chiavari chairs...But unfortunately this set up is so expensive. I calculated, if i do this set up, the cost at the hall for 400pax would be more expensive then if i do a sit down hotel wedding for 400pax (a 4 star hotel)...

When we were weighing our options, habib muka pelik sangat, he asked "kenapa budget for the community hall lagi tinggi then hotel?" hehehe..all i could do was smile.

My mum reminded me ...don't waste money....save it for the marriage...wedding is just one day, is marriage and children that u should concentrate on...

Some days I'm strong enough to hold back and just plan a simple wedding...some days i just long for my dream wedding...

But we did finalise on the theme...

For my reception is pink-ish

For nikah, i want something more natural....green-ish theme...

Wedding hall...booked

We booked the wedding hall a few weeks ago actually, but finally i found a nice picture of the hall. Unfortunately i lost the blog link This is a picture of an aqiqah actually, baby throne done by Pak Abu.

For every wedding in my family, Alhamdulillah my father has manage to put money aside for all of us with an equal amount (hey is tanggungjawab of every Muslim father to provide for his children's wedding). Alhamdulillah for myself, i manage to find a hall + food that is only 1/3 the price of our family previous weddings but in my opinion is equally nice, meaning the rest of the budget i can use for all of my other expenses...

Today me and habib did the rough calculation, and I'm really glad that I do not have to touch my savings.....We had to sacrifice something though, so that's why we decided not to do. Walaubagaimanapun habib is still needs to use his savings to buy the rings, pay mas kahwin & wang hantaran and honeymoon (hehehe...what can i do, it's his duty to provide all this for me). I'm so glad I'm a muslim, i love how women are protected and very much spoilt by it, provided that we marry someone with Iman....
