Heir force one - proud gran pays a visit to Pilot Prince William at base
The Queen Elizabeth yesterday paid a visit to the copter pilot who puts the royal in Royal Air Force - grandson Prince William. She and Prince Philip were on an official engagement at RAF Anglesey, where Will Wales, as the Prince William is known in the RAF, is posted.
But she got a family welcome at the Welsh base, where Prince William greeted her with a cheery: "Hello, gran." Prince William also spotted that the Queen's bright red hat was ready for take-off as she arrived in 50mph winds. Prince William, 28, joked: "Have you still got your hat?" and kissed her on the cheek.
